[Lifestyle] People are strange
Lately I've been thinking and talking with a few friends about how people are strange when it comes to relationships. I personally know a few people who have a strange tendency to sugarcoat people for no good reason.
By sugarcoating, I mean not speaking plainly about reasoning or even cutting short relationships that are toxic for them just for the sake of "being a good person". In my humble opinion, it's pretty "ok" to be a douche or end a fucking relationship with someone who clearly isn't reciprocal in terms of feelings or even truth with you. The world is filled with people who want to suck your energy dry, and having these kinds of people is like keeping spiritual vultures around you. All I can say is that I'm definitely not a religious person, but I do believe in the power that someone has to make you feel better or worse just by how they see you as a person and how, with their own understanding and way to see the world, they decide if you're a good or a bad person.
This happens everywhere, with friends, co-workers, personal relationships, and even family. As someone who already abandoned a lot of people who turned out to be fucking vultures, all that I can say and my personal advice is that at the end of the day, you're still alone, living with your thoughts, and wasting your time thinking about these people who would never deserve your time and your care is the worst possible way to waste your time, life, and hair.
Cut it short, move on, live your life. It's easier than you think to just keep yourself moving, and if someday you bump into someone around your block, just answer "C'est la vie!" and keep walking. No one besides the people who really care needs reasoning or explanations about why or what you're doing.
Mind the gap.
