[Lifestyle] Do something different. You really should.
I was studying, like, last night and noticed that I was tired as fuck during the process of writing a few queries while watching a video explanation on how to use the best parameters in a database.
Yeah, after a day of more than 8 hours of work, 5 different meetings, more than 40 messages sent, and 1 hour of gym after work, of course I would be destroyed when I was supposed to study. Then I started to pressure myself to achieve results, like, "your time is running out. While you're playing games, someone is getting better and will surpass you!", and after that I got frozen.
I got frozen by the fact that this is true, but also, why am I doing this after all? Am I willing to reach this competitive level? Should I evolve my game (and I ain't talking about video games here) to get more competitive on a market level? Am I enough? All these thoughts came at once to my mind like an AR57 bullet, and I was just paralysed by all of that.
When I finally noticed that my focus was lost, I gave up and started looking at some gaming stuff, like how to evolve my SF6 gameplay instead. This was refreshing and relaxing, like something that was supposed to happen at that time, like nothing else was important anymore at 10 pm, instead thinking about myself and the stuff I enjoyed.
The point is, I might have finally found that sweet spot where I should stop caring about evolving my professional version, just turn off the "job focus" mode, get away, and do something completely different. I already said that, like, in a few texts here, but it is always good to remember that you're not your job. At the end of the day, we're just numbers, crushed into a Google Sheets table, and that's it.
